Proxy is the best choice for clients who want not only the biggest home watch company in Western Carolina, but also the oldest, with the best trained staff. Unlike the competitors who provide home watch as a secondary service, Proxy’s primary business is home watch. It all started in 2006 and grew quickly as word-of-mouth referrals spread. Currently Proxy has ongoing responsibility for over $80 million worth of Western Carolina homes. The guiding mission of Proxy is to do everything possible to keep expensive things from happening. Of course, not every problem can be avoided or even anticipated, but the goal is to plan for the ones that can be. Also critical is to quickly catch the unexpected so that the result is a temporary inconvenience rather than a major disaster.
Today over 50% of our home watch clients have been with us more than 3 years. We average 8.1 out of 9.0 on customer satisfaction. We maintain a General Contractor license and are bonded and insured. Client references and testimonials are gladly and proudly provided.
Cross Training of relevant skill sets is a hallmark of Proxy’s operations and an important benefit for clients. Phil Murphy, owner of Proxy, brings an Engineering eye (U.S. Merchant Marine Academy) and a Business discipline (California State University) to the management of both Proxy and our clients’ homes. Along with significant US military experience, the Proxy team combines diverse yet complimentary training in Meteorology, Wildlife Biology, Project/Construction Management and Logistics.
Going Green whenever feasible is a high priority at Proxy. In our office and in our client’s homes, we set thermostats and appliances to minimize energy usage. We also utilize LED light bulbs where practical and plan driving routes to maximize fuel efficiency.
